Providing children with a enjoyable support to their education
School Buildings
Over the years, the joint efforts of NGOs in Antintotona have led to the creation of a vibrant learning campus. Together, we have built a kindergarten, a primary and secondary school, two dormitories, and a canteen.
At Sunshine in Nosy Komba, we are proud to contribute to this growing campus. Our initiatives include developing a sports field with proper equipment, constructing new school buildings that accommodate a growing number of students, and supporting the creation of new dormitories, ensuring students have a safe and supportive environment to learn and thrive. To enrich learning beyond the classroom, Sunshine in Nosy Komba has created a media library equipped to meet the needs of children of all ages. The library offers hundreds of books, DVDs, games, and laptops, along with didactic activities designed to make learning interactive and enjoyable. It serves as both a study space and a creative hub where students can explore new ideas and develop skills.

New High School
In 20224, together with We Work It Works, we launched a joint project to contrustruc a new school builidng. The porject will include six additional classrooms, new hygiene facilities, and extra space for studente dormitories. This project was decided after the COVID-19 pandemic which forced other schools in the island to close and more than 100 students joining school Banana.
The aim is to open the new school in September 2026, and while the funding of the hygiene facilities has been raised we still miss the funding for the solar panels and electricity system and the doors and school furniture.
