Access to basic healthcare remains difficult and Sunshine in Nosy Komba provides a limited support in primary care and emergency situation

Primary care

Midwives and nurses provide essential primary medical care, run a small pharmacy, and contribute to education by leading health and hygiene lessons in local schools. Sunshine in Nosy Komba covers the costs of medical supplies and medication, and ensures the maintenance of the health center’s infrastructure.

Emergency funds

To better respond to urgent situations, we created an emergency fund with an initial allocation of €2,000, about 5% of our annual budget. This fund allows us to provide structured and consistent assistance to people in critical need, from small emergencies such as deep cuts, infected wounds, and work accidents, to life-saving surgeries.
